The Property Specialist is responsible for preparing materials necessary for the acquisition, sale or lease for real property and providing relocation assistance and payments, using state law, city policies and federal guidelines. Duties include supervising direct negotiations, managing City-owned property, preparing written reports, requests for Council Action on acquisition, locating available standard living accommodations and suitable business facilities that are within the ability to pay of the prospective tenant or owner and matching displaced persons' needs with resources from various outside agencies and organizations. Work also includes calculation of replacement housing payments for residential owners, tenants, moving re-establishments and in lieu of payments for businesses. Work is performed under the general supervision of a Project Manager, Real Estate Program Manager and Deputy Finance Director.
SALARY
Hiring Range: $72,966.40 to $84,468.80 annually.
