Description
The Proteomics and Metabolomics Core at Cedars-Sinai is seeking a curious, motivated, and detail-oriented Research Technician to support proteomic assay development and production. This role provides hands-on wet lab experience in a collaborative environment equipped with cuttingedge instrumentation, including advanced HPLC and mass spectrometry platforms.

In this position, you will:
Perform a variety of wet lab procedures to support proteomics and metabolomics workflows.
Assist in developing, optimizing, and validating analytical methods under the guidance of senior scientists.
Learn to operate and maintain analytical instruments, with opportunities to expand into HPLC, mass spectrometry, and automation systems.
Contribute to a dynamic Core facility that supports diverse investigators and research needs.

Requirements
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or a related field
(BS with 0–2 years of experience, or MS with no professional experience required)
Basic hands-on experience with wet chemistry and/or biochemical techniques gained through coursework, internships, or academic research
Willingness and ability to learn new laboratory techniques and instrumentation
Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain accurate lab records
A positive, flexible approach to problem-solving in a fastpaced, evolving research environment
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have, Not Required)
Experience with HPLC, mass spectrometry, or analytical instrumentation
Exposure to Thermo or Sciex mass spectrometry platforms
Familiarity with laboratory automation tools
Experience using or supporting Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
