Detailed Job DescriptionOur client, a global commercial P&C insurance organization, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to serve as a strategic finance partner to key business leaders. Candidates must have insurance industry experience, as this role requires a strong understanding of insurance financials, business operations, and performance drivers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and business analysis activities
- Develop KPI dashboards and performance reporting using Power BI and other tools
- Analyze financial results and provide actionable recommendations to leadership
- Prepare business reviews and presentations for senior management
- Support annual planning processes, including expense budgets and reserve-related analyses
- Monitor performance against plan and identify opportunities for improvement
- Maintain financial reporting integrity and support internal control activities
- Partner with business leaders to support strategic initiatives and decision-making
Required Qualifications:
- Insurance industry experience is required
- Preferably commercial P&C insurance experience
- Strong understanding of insurance financial statements, financial metrics, and profitability analysis
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Statutory Accounting principles preferred
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
- Advanced Excel skills; Power BI experience is highly preferred
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- CPA and/or advanced degree is a plus
