What We're Looking For:
The Senior Manager will act as a co-architect for the Component Supply Planning (CSP) team, playing a pivotal role in shaping the team's strategy and co-leading key transformation initiatives, including staircase projects. This individual will serve as a liaison to other teams within the Global Supply Chain & Repair (GSCR) organization, ensuring alignment of processes, systems, and tools. A key focus of this role will be driving the successful implementation and utilization of external tools and AI technologies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages the coordination of the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results, including costs, methods, staffing, and workforce and succession planning.
- Responsible for the training, development, and management of talent within the organization, providing guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established policies.
- Acts as an advisor to subordinates to meet schedules, resolve technical problems, and develop performance requirements.
- Lead development of collaborative planning and implementation in CSP, ensuring alignment with overall supply chain plans and business objectives.
- Lead CSP BuySell Evolution and its strategic integration into the Supply Organization.
- Systems Alignment and Implementation of Z2Data within key workstreams, including overseeing and problem-solving system issues in the respective applications portfolio.
- Build effective partnerships with Procurement, GSP teams, and Tier 2 suppliers to resolve problems and network with key contacts outside of own expertise.
- Liaison to the cross-functional GSCR team for strategic initiatives, designing specific strategies and solutions to meet project deliverables.
- Co-Lead Early Warning Evolution and mitigate constraints impacting the supply plan, including capacity, expediting, and recommending or placing purchase orders.
- Co-lead Metrics development and moderate Monthly and Quarterly Ops Reviews to drive performance visibility.
- Co-lead Continuous Improvement across all workstreams, evaluating and recommending complex, best-in-class supply chain solutions and process improvement projects.
- Engage Business SMEs to gather and derive business and system requirements, translating them into functional and technical specifications.
- Review planning requirements and understand drivers behind net changes to prepare accurate supply chain plans.
- Drive 3rd party commit rates and on-time shipment improvements while escalating shortages as necessary.
- Review vendor-created requirements and design specifications to ensure fit for purpose and alignment with organizational goals.
- Apply cross-functional business processes, lead business process documentation, identify fit gaps, and propose effective remediation.
- Develop resolutions for complex situations where analysis of data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Frequently interact with subordinates, customers, and peer group managers to lead cooperative efforts among members of project teams.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline required
- Work Experience: 12+ years of experience
Key Skills and Competencies
- Wide breadth of experience in Materials management including Purchasing, Planning (Strategic & Tactical) and Manufacturing
- Excellent analytical skills required relative to data mining and process development/improvement
- Strong experience creating and maintaining process
- International Supply chain experience is a must
- Contract Manufacturing experience is a plus
- Direct manufacturing experience in the electronics industry is a plus
- In-depth Oracle experience is preferred
