As a Senior Quality Engineer on our team, you'll play a key role in supporting our digital transformation journey by leading a team of developers to build and implement large scale applications involving APIs and UIs that will be leveraged across the business. With us, you'll be both hands-on and strategic, diving deep into code to define system behavior, and establishing technical roadmaps that you and the developers on your team will act upon to deliver quality and scalable software solutions. You will have a unique exposure to multiple frameworks as this team uses both Java & Microsoft technologies for its components. In carrying this out, you'll also have the opportunity to directly engage with senior leadership as you communicate back and forth with the business to ensure solutions align with business objectives.
In this role, you will:
- Oversee and coordinate both functional and automated testing activities, addressing complex issues more effectively than Senior Engineers
- Lead and mentor a team of Engineers and Senior Engineers by providing technical guidance and support, distributing tasks, and evaluating performance
- Contribute to defining the overall automation and functional testing strategy while selecting appropriate testing methodologies and tools
- Plan and execute test strategies across multiple projects, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and performing regression testing
- Drive test automation initiatives by architecting and developing automation frameworks
- Advocate for best practices and innovative testing techniques, particularly in test automation
- Collaborate with development teams and AVPs to define and implement effective testing strategies, estimate testing efforts, and ensure timely project deliveries
- Review and improve the automation testing process to enhance both efficiency and effectiveness
- Analyze testing metrics and reports to ensure the team meets key performance indicators
- Oversee defect management and escalation processes to ensure timely resolution
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 7 to 12 years' experience in functional and automated testing, with a strong focus on test automation frameworks and leadership roles
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related STEM fields, or equivalent experience
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, C#, and Python
- Extensive knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices
- Demonstrated success in managing testing projects and leading teams
- Expert proficiency in test case design and execution
- Expert programming skills for test automation
- Extensive experience with testing tools such as Selenium, API, LoadRunner, Jmeter, AppDyamics, App Insights, UFT, ReadyAPI, JIRA, SynapseRT, JAVA, SQL, Service Virtualization etc.
- Thorough understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration with testing processes
The pay range for the role is $106,000 to $130,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found on our careers website. The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
