Madison Veterinary Specialists & Emergency (MVS) is seeking Board-Certified or residency-trained Small Animal Internists to join our growing Internal Medicine team in beautiful Madison, Wisconsin.
MVS is a privately owned, AAHA-accredited specialty and emergency hospital built on collaboration, clinical excellence, and a supportive team culture. Our specialists work closely together across services including Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Emergency/Critical Care, Dermatology, Neurology, and Nephrology all supported by an experienced team of CVTs, veterinary assistants, and client care professionals who are deeply committed to exceptional patient care.
Our 17,000+ sq. ft. state-of-the-art specialty facility is currently in an expansion planning process to allow us to provide more services and care to the pets in our community. Currently, we are equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities including:
- HD CT scanner
- Fluoroscopy
- Full endoscopy capabilities
- In-house diagnostic laboratory
- Portable cage-side ultrasonography
- Ultrasonography
- Blood bank
- Dedicated training and continuing education space
- Surgical laser
- 1.5T MRI
- Modern surgical and treatment suites
- Extracorporeal Therapy
Our Internal Medicine service enjoys a strong and loyal referral base spanning southern Wisconsin, northern Illinois, eastern Minnesota, and eastern Iowa, providing a diverse and rewarding caseload.

Requirements
- DVM or equivalent veterinary degree
- Board-Certified in Small Animal Internal Medicine (DACVIM) or residency-trained and board-eligible
- Licensed or eligible for veterinary licensure in the State of Wisconsin
- Strong commitment to collaborative, patient-centered specialty care
- Excellent communication skills with clients, referring veterinarians, and team members
- Interest in contributing to a positive, team-oriented hospital culture
- Enthusiasm for mentoring interns, technicians, and support staff
