Description

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and maintain financial MIS infrastructure and to monitor the production of internal management reporting, annual budget and rolling forecast processes to ensure accurate and timely data available for BU/SUs and the management.
2. Implement and maintain data warehouse, FTP system and other financial related systems to facilitate effective financial information for BU/SUs, identify potential areas for improvement or automation.
3. Lead discussions with BU/SUs to understand their needs on management reports and financial information, formulate and implement solutions to meet their needs.
4. Participate in system development projects in relation to data warehouse, financial MIS systems automation. Formulate and communicate user requirements with IT and/or vendors, take lead in UAT and maintenance after production.
5. Work closely with IT and external vendors to troubleshoot problems and propose improvements to the system.
6. Evaluate and analyze the Bank's performance regularly using financial data and provide recommendations for improvement to the management.
7. Perform variance analysis on financial results and key financial indicators from various dimensions.
8. Maintain regular communications with BU/SUs to gain understanding on their financial performance.
9. Prepare financial information for ad hoc analysis to support the management on business decisions.
10. Formulate and implement management accounting tools such as cost allocation and profit sharing.
11. Prepare accurate presentation of financial management information to support Audit Committee Meeting, Board Meeting and Staff Communication Forum etc.
12. Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members as required to ensure that they are competent to perform the jobs.
13. Perform ad hoc projects and assignments as required

Requirements:

1. Degree holder in Accounting or related disciplines or a qualified accountant.
2. Minimum 8 years' experience in management reporting and MIS in banking industry.
3. Strong analytical skill and in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, bank's accounting policies & procedures, banking MIS systems
4. Good communication skills and able to communicate effectively at all levels.
5. Good computer skills; Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Access and SQL
6. Good command of written & spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)

(Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Vice President.)
